She is part of the team responsible for super-resolution optical microscopy and the Biology laboratory at the ICFO.

Valentina Gacha

Valentina Gacha was born in Bogotá, Colombia. She graduated as a Chemical Engineer from the Universidad de los Andes. Later, her passion to better understand the world of materials took her to Brazil where she completed a master degree in Materials Science and Engineering. Two years ago she began her PhD at ICFO, in the photovoltaic nanostructures group, where she is studying the configuration of different materials, to capture the sun’s energy and thus generate different solar fuels.
