Photonics is the science of photons, responsible particles for all electromagnetic spectrum  radiation, among which is the visible light that we see.

For centuries, humans have discovered many uses of the light. One is the images projection. Our goal is to reproduce the magic lantern and use it to explain the formation of images and the factors that make the projection larger and clearer.

The magic lantern is one of the most important inventions prior to the advent of cinema. Its operation is based on the same principles as a slide projector today.
