Light Painting is a photographic technique that uses light, darkness and a long exposure camera allowing us to do incredible genuine art works.
During the creative process, just as if it were standard painting, we choose the “brushes” and the “canvas” although, in this case, the brush can be any light source and the canvas any surface that interacts with light. We have infinite creative possibilities and by exploring them we are able to learn more about what light is, how it behaves and what it is useful for.
As a result, light painting is an artistic, fun and educative activity that intends to approach photonics sciences to students and the general public in special events like the “ICFO Open Day”, “Girls, Boys and Photonics”, among others.
